Syracuse, NY – September, 2016 – The September Charity of the Month is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Type 1 diabetes is a life threatening autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin – a hormone essential to the ability to get energy from food. It strikes both children and adults suddenly and changes life as they know it forever. It cannot be prevented and there is no cure. It has impacted members of our families, our colleagues, and our clients and friends.

Grossman St. Amour Certified Public Accountants, PLLC, Bousquet Holstein, PLLC, Armory Capital Management, LLC, and Edward S. Green & Associates, Investment Advisers, LLC collaborate each month to raise money for the designated charity of the month.  Employees of all four firms contribute $5 for a great cause and in turn, enjoy wearing jeans to work each Friday.

Each charity that is chosen for the month has been submitted by an employee of one of the firms.  The employee is required to either be a member of the charity, or a frequent volunteer to meet the criteria for the charity to be chosen as a recipient of the Jean’s Day’s fund.
