When our accountants and staff members aren’t preparing tax returns and helping clients with  accounting, tax and audit issues, they are volunteering time and giving back to the community.   This year, due to COVID-19, the Salvation Army Christmas Distribution Day looked very different, but the need was greater than ever.   Each family who registered received two boxes of food and a holiday grocery card.   Target gift cards were emailed to purchase toys for registered children.

Grossman St. Amour CPAs employees and partners, Danielle McMahon (Member of Salvation Young Leaders Advisory Board), Daniel Griffin (Board Member Salvation Army Advisory Board), Jennifer Dorgan (United Way Coordinator), Kathy Kaminski, her son Ty Kaminski, and Craig Christo braved the cold to do the heavy lifting on the day of the event, which was held in the former Post Standard building on Clinton Street.

The Christmas Bureau is a partnership with the Salvation Army with United Way, Food Bank of CNY, and more than 100 companies, agencies, and organizations across Onondaga County to provide food and toys to 10,000 people each Christmas.
