September 12, 2017 – Syracuse, NY – Grossman St. Amour CPAs PLLC is pleased to announce the promotion of Daniel F. Griffin, CPA, CVA to Partner. Daniel joined the firm in 2007 as a Staff Accountant.
Dan specializes in corporate and partnership tax, but also assists governmental, not-for-profit organizations and individual clients with tax planning and preparation. Dan has been instrumental in developing the historic rehabilitation tax credit niche at Grossman St. Amour, where he works on and has helped develop more than 30 historic redevelopment projects in Syracuse, Albany, and surrounding upstate areas. He works extensively on affordable housing and historic rehabilitation tax credit projects, as well as tax credit projects for the film production industry.
Dan became a Certified Valuation Analyst in 2013 and works on business valuations for commercial entities, as well as for gift, estate, marital, and litigation purposes. Dan is a member of the Board of Directors of the Central New York Collaborative Family Law Professionals. He is specially trained in collaborative dispute resolution, effective communication, cooperative negotiation, and creative problem solving and has written articles related to divorce and business assets.
Dan is the Finance Chair for the Salvation Army Young Leaders Board, and is also a 40 Under Forty Honoree. He is a graduate of the PrimeGlobal Leadership Development Program. He is a Le Moyne College alum and he, his wife Carly, and daughter Leilah are residents of Manlius, New York.
