Syracuse, NY –Grossman St. Amour CPAs PLLC is pleased to welcome Christopher R. Alger, CPA, CFE back to the firm.   Chris began his career with Grossman St. Amour CPAs in 2008, upon completing the Summer Internship Program.   He became Controller at Clarkson University in 2016 and also worked at Cornell University as Director of Financial Operations in 2018.  Chris is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

He is a graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and concentration in Registered Accounting.   Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Chris practices in the areas of audit and attest engagements, financial statement preparation, fraud examination and deterrence, and internal control review.  He serves clients within the not-for-profit, employee benefit plan, governmental, commercial for-profit, and healthcare industries.

Chris volunteers at the CNY Food Bank and is an assistant coach for the Baldwinsville Little League.   He resides with his wife and family in Baldwinsville, New York.
