Syracuse, NY – May, 2016 – During the most hectic time in the life of a CPA, Syracuse Northeast Community Center challenged two local accounting firms, Grossman St. Amour CPAs PLLC and Dannible & McKee, LLP, to a friendly food drive competition.  Both firms eagerly accepted the challenge, and together, collected 2,785 pounds of packaged foods and personal care items. Although Grossman St. Amour CPAs PLLC came out the winner by a slim margin of 25 pounds, the true winner was the Syracuse Northeast Community Center.

“The Challenge turned out to be not only quite competitive, but amazingly successful,” said Linda Gabor, CPA, Partner at Grossman St. Amour CPAs. Our employees were motivated to help SNCC and rose to the challenge during crunch time.”

Grossman St. Amour CPAs engaged local companies to participate in the challenge.  The following companies enthusiastically stepped up and held their own in-house drives:

Armory Capital Management, LLC
Bankers Healthcare Group
Bousquet Holstein LLC
CBRE – Syracuse
Gartner Equipment Co., Inc.
Housing Visions
Legal Services of CNY, Inc.
Pepsi Bottling Group
UBS Financial Services
Upstate Portfolio, LLC

“Each of these companies’ shares in the award and recognition received by our firm, said Linda Gabor, CPA, Partner. We would like to thank each of these companies for stepping up and participating in this wonderful cause!”
